Why You Need an Attic Fan
While QuietCool Whole House fans are stellar at bringing cool outdoor air into the home and then cooling the attic, their use is limited to the time of day when the outdoor air is cooler.. An attic fan can keep your attic cool during the heat of the day by exchanging outside air (even if it’s hot) with the overheated attic air. Attics can reach 30-50 degrees hotter than outdoor temperatures, so being able to keep them at the outdoor temperature is a vast improvement! Excess heat will not transfer into the home, strain on your HVAC system (often located in the attic) will be reduced, and life of your roof will also be extended with the lowered temperatures.
